Baosu PVC-O Patent Won the 25th WIPO-CNIPA Award

Recently, Baosu has been honored with the 25th WIPO-CNIPA Award for its patented technology titled "An Automatic Adjustment System and Its Control Method for the Socket-forming of PVC-O Pipes" (Patent No.: ZL202211130860.8). Co-sponsored by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), this award represents the highest honor in China's patent field. This accolade marks a national-level authoritative recognition of Baosu's achievements in technological research and development as well as the transformation of intellectual property outcomes.

The award-winning patent focuses on a critical aspect of PVC-O (biaxially oriented polyvinyl chloride) pipe production: the socket process. Through intelligent control methods, this system achieves a groundbreaking improvement in the molding accuracy and consistency of the pipe's socket. It fundamentally addresses industry-wide challenges such as "rubber gaskets being prone to flipping over and interfaces being prone to leakage" that have long plagued traditional processes. PVC-O pipes produced using this technology not only excel in impact resistance, external pressure resistance, fatigue resistance, and low-temperature resistance, but also achieve a qualitative leap in the long-term safety and sealing performance of pipeline systems.

The WIPO-CNIPA Award aims to recognize patent holders and inventors who have made outstanding contributions to technological innovation and industrial development. Its evaluation criteria encompass the forward-looking nature of the patented technology, legal stability, economic benefits, and industry-driving effects.
